The
Gollcher Group has been
active in Malta since 1854, when its founder Olaf Gollcher settled here from
Sweden. He first became involved in shipping, operating his own fleet from
Malta to North African, Sicilian and Adriatic ports. He also pioneered the
first services to the sister island of Gozo and ferry services within the
Maltese harbours.
He and his family have been honorary consuls and vice-consuls for over a century, serving the Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark.
The company also proudly records over 100 years of service as the Lloyds agents in Malta.
Over the years the group's activities
have extended to ship and liner agencies, cruise liner agents, marine
surveyors and loss adjusters, airline cargo general sales agents, freight
forwarding and travel.
